MBX Packaging Specialists
Heat Treating
MBX operates its own Heat Treating Chamber at its Cherry Street Facility in Wausau. Monthly audits are conducted to ensure full compliance to the ISPM-15 Export Standard.

All wood packaging that MBX heat treats is identified with an ISPM-15 Certified Heat Treatment Stamp.
The ISPM-15 International Export Standard mandates that material (hardwood and softwood) used for wood packaging receive heat treatment at a core temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit for a minimum of 30 minutes. ISPM-15 requires the extermination of insects found in wood such as the Pinewood Nematode and the Asian Long Horned Beetle. Heat treated wood that is exported helps protect forests and agriculture in other parts of the world.

MBX operates a state-of-the-art heat treating chamber.
